Colleagues of the Group of Aquatic Macrophyte Ecology (CEAB-CSIC), partners of LIFE Blue Natura, and responsible for the research actions of the project, presented the first results of actions A1 to C2 at the VI International Congress of Marine Sciences (ISMS), celebrated in Vigo. Where and how much CO2 sequester the Andalusian marshes, or how to measure the stocks and CO2 flows in the Posidonia meadows, are some of those results.

The VI International Symposium on Marine Sciences took place the 20th. 21st and 22nd of June 2018 in Vigo, at the auditorium Mar de Vigo, organised thanks to the cooperation of the six Spanish universities that teach the Marine Sciences Degree (Alicante, Barcelona. Cádiz. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Valencia and Vigo).

As in the previous edition, several symposiums of diverse nature will take place in this Congress, like the XIX Iberian Marine Chemistry Seminary, the 2018 Spanish Physical Oceanography Encounter, the Iberian Toxic Phytoplankton Meeting and the Campus do Mar ISC’18. As a result, the Congress becomes an excellent meeting point for students and professionals of the Marine Sciences.

The results of his Congress turns into a very important occasion for the scientific dissemination of the obtained results in the different marine research areas.
