As part of the project’s implementation actions, the ‘Platform for dialogue and consultation for the preparation and identification of blue carbon compensation projects’ was held at the IUCN Center for Mediterranean Cooperation in Malaga, which resulted in the creation of an Advisory Group whose function will be to guide the identification of Blue Carbon offset projects and the design of possible actions to restore and conserve the project’s target sinks: tidal marshes and seagrass meadows

The conferences were attended by the following entities: Cepsa, OECC (Magrama), Universidad de Cádiz, Submon, CSIC (GAME, CEAB-CSIC), Consejeria de Medio Ambiente y Ordenación (Junta de Andalucia), Agencia de Medio Ambiente y Agua de Andalucía, IUCN, Asociación Hombre y Territorio, Factor CO2, Submon, Ecodes, Bosques Sostenibles, Salarte..

The advisory group will continue its work dynamically during the development of this action, coordinated by IUCN-Med, partner of the Blue Natura project
