EL SIMPOSIO.
El Simposio Interdisciplinario es un evento internacional dedicado a la inter / transdisciplinariedad. Está organizado en el marco de la Unidad de Investigación de la Federación para el Medio Ambiente y la Sociedad (FRES) (http://fres.univ-corse.fr/) en nombre de la Universidad de Córcega, CNRS, INRA, instituciones del INSERM. El objetivo de este Simposio Internacional es explorar los beneficios de la hibridación de conocimiento a través de investigaciones interdisciplinarias y transdisciplinarias. Muy a menudo, las disciplinas solo se yuxtaponen para abordar cuestiones complejas, pero el paso más allá de la multidisciplinariedad muestra dificultades reales para los investigadores académicos. Las ideas de investigación que proponen la interdisciplinariedad son más difíciles de financiar, hacer y publicar. Construir objetos comunes, organizar la contribución de varias disciplinas, hacer productivo el diálogo entre la biología, la informática y las ciencias sociales, así como abordar los problemas junto con actores ajenos a la investigación son obstáculos para los beneficios esperados en términos de producción de conocimiento. Reunir las experiencias de numerosos colegas en diversos contextos puede ser una forma de mejorar colectivamente nuestra capacidad para un enfoque tan arriesgado y desafiante.

THE SYMPOSIUM.
The Interdisciplinary Symposium is an International event dedicated to inter / transdisciplinarity. It is organized under the framework of the Federation on Environment and Society (FRES) Research Unity (http://fres.univ-corse.fr/) on behalf of the University of Corsica, CNRS, INRA, INSERM institutions.
The aim of this International Symposium is to explore the benefits of knowledge hybridization through inter and trans-disciplinary researches. Very often, disciplines are only juxtaposed in order to address complex questions but the step beyond multidisciplinarity shows real difficulties for academic researchers. Research ideas proposing interdisciplinarity are harder to fund, do, and publish.
Building up common objects, organizing the contribution of several disciplines, making productive the dialogue between biology, computing and social sciences as well as addressing problems together with non-research actors are obstacles for the expected benefits in terms of knowledge production. Gathering the experiences of numerous colleagues in various contexts may be a way to collectively improve our ability for such risky and challenging approach.
