Se han celebrado en el Centro Documental «José Luis Cano» de Algeciras las XII Jornadas de Ciencia en la Calle, las cuales comenzaron el pasado 11 de Abril con una conferencia titulada «La tercera dimensión del genoma», impartida por el Dr. Darío García Lupiañez del Instituto de Biología de Sistemas Médicos de Berlin (BIMSB).
En este evento participan diversos colegios e institutos de la zona, junto con la Facultad de Enfermería (UCA), la Escuela Politécnica Superior (EPSA-UCA) y la Delegación de Medio Ambiente del Ayuntamiento de Algeciras; además, participan entidades y centros de enseñanza invitados como el Instituto de Ciencias Marinas de Andalucía (ICMAN-CSIC), el Parque Natural del Estrecho o el Proyecto LIFE BlueNatura entre otros.

The «José Luis Cano» Documentary Center in Algeciras held the XII Conference of «Science in the street», which began on the 11th with a presentation entitled «The third dimension of the genome» and given by Dr. Darío García Lupiañez from the Institute for Medical Systems Biology of Berlin (BIMSB).
Many schools and institutes in the area also participated in this event, along with the Faculty of Nursing (UCA), the Higher Polytechnic School (EPSA-UCA) and the Environment Delegation of the City of Algeciras.
In addition, many entities and centers of education were invited, such as the Institute of Marine Sciences of Andalusia (ICMAN-CSIC), the Strait’s Natural Park or the LIFE-BlueNatura Project among others.
